John Gillan has several collections of work which are available for travel to galleries, museums and public spaces. All of the photographs are framed and museum mounted. Historic Smallwood Store Old Indian Trading Post

This collection features the outstanding imagery of photographer John Gillan and interpretive text from the Smallwood Store.
The work was exhibited at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, American Institute Of Architects, Fort Myers Historical Museum, Arsenault Gallery, Loxahatchee Historical Museum. Bishop Planetarium and History Museum, St. Petersburg Historical Museum, Boca Raton Children's Museum and the Florida Museum of History in Tallahassee.

Places in Time Historic Architecture and Landscapes of Miami

This collection of work is one of the most sensitive and revealing records ever assembled of the richly historic architecture and landscapes of Dade County. " This is historic Miami at its best. " Charleton Tebeau.
This exhibit opened at The Historical Museum of Southern Florida in April 1994 and was on view for six months. The collection took five years to photograph, edit, print, and research. A book of the same title was published by Florida International University School of Design. South Florida photographer John Gillan won several awards for the book and exhibit  including the Architectural Photographer of the Year from the American Institute of Architects.

Life at One Hundred and Beyond

This collection features a black and white documentaion of people who are 100 years old or older. Each person was photographed at their home, place of business, favorite golf course or doing whatever they enjoy. An array of practical and humorous anecdotes and quotes were collected from each person during their interview. This collection took about five years to complete. The exhibit has been shown at The Historical Museum of Southern Florida, Florida Supreme Court Rotunda and the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Hospital in Miami. This exhibit was funded in part by the Historical Museum of Southern Florida and Brooks Carpet.
